We held the very first LA Food Swap on Sunday, March 27th, and wow — what a joyful abundance of good food and good community! Cooks, bakers, gardeners, and foragers came and shared their preserves, pickles, breads, pastries, pasta, honey, liqueurs, tinctures, teas, homegrown fruits and herbs, and more.

ReForm School buzzed with energy and conversation and everyone came away with new foods and friends. It was an amazing experience to witness all the talent, stories, and positive intention in the room. A big, warm thank you to Billie and Tootie at ReForm School for sharing your wonderful space and to all the swappers who participated.

The question I heard over and over was, When are we doing this again? Next up is a big Community Sharing Center at the GOOD LA Launch Party on April 9th. (More details on that coming soon…) And I hope to organize a second LA Food Swap before too long. Get on the mailing list at right or email me if you’d like to participate or help!
